Looking for a full time ranch foreman for a family owned, high-fenced, 5,500 acre ranch in Dimmit County, Texas. Candidates should have experience with range and wildlife management, operating and maintaining heavy equipment including farm tractors, bulldozer, and maintainer, working with cattle, welding, and minor handyman and mechanical work. A can-do attitude, and an interest in whitetail deer and hunting/guiding hunters are necessary.
The foreman's responsibilities include caring caring for the ranch, wildlife, and livestock; maintaining vehicles, equipment, and facilities; feeding wild game and livestock; working on improvement projects such as fencing and roadwork; ranch security; and participating in hunting, guiding, and wildlife management.
The foreman has the option of living on the ranch with utilities paid in addition to salary and health insurance.
