My name is James Jarvis and I have just completed my Bachelor's of Science in Cattle and Horse Production at Oklahoma State University. I was raised on a 365-acre purebred Black Angus cow-calf operation with 100 females that also bred performance quarterhorses for racing. I am seeking a job in a progressive beef production company but would also consider a job working with horses and various livestock animals. I have been a ranch hand and barn manager for several years and I have a mind for the advanced business and economics in today's agricultural society. I am proficient with many computer applications including MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. I have advanced knowledge of written record systems and can expand on your records if necessary. I have hands-on experience with calving cows, foaling horses, haying, sorting, vaccinating, and doctoring all animals as well as mechanic and carpentry skills. I am capable of replacement selection for cattle operations while also knowledgeable with performance breeding in the quarterhorse industry. I am easy to work with and get along with but I also have a stout work ethic and strong leadership skills to guide daily team operations for efficiency.
